About The Business In 1993, former marketing executive Kim M. Bayne founded wolfBayne Communications for the purpose of providing measurable results in marketing communications for the high technology client. Along with offering traditional public relations services, wolfBayne's main objective was to assist corporate marketers with marcom program creation, implementation and analysis, and the integration of Internet tools into the marketing communications mix.
By 1994, Kim had already begun to actively promote the commercial use of the Internet among her marketing colleagues and within her client base. She was one of the first to strategically use Internet tools to publicize products and services and spearhead the use of generic domain names. That same year, Kim masterminded the registration of the now-coveted shoes.com for a brother who owned and operated multiple shoe stores. [Washington Post, July 15, 1999, pg. A01]
In 1998, wolfBayne's business model evolved to leverage its founder's position as a pioneer in online marketing. The firm began to offer editorial services, specializing in Internet marketing strategies and tactics. From there, Kim's writing evolved beyond the typical how-to marketing feature and she began to report on industry trends, key players and related technology. In addition to writing for business and trade publications, Kim was directly responsible for creating and maintaining original content for several different Internet projects, including e-zines, company Web sites and email discussion lists. wolfBayne also provided project-based consulting services related to Internet marketing plan creation and Web usability studies.
In 2002, Kim relocated wolfBayne Communications to sunny Tucson, Arizona where she expanded its services to meet the growing interactive needs of consumer retail clients. For starters, she managed the initial domain registration, Web site development, e-commerce administration, promotional launch, search engine placement and keyword advertising buys for seven different Web sites over six months, including NewBalanceTucson.com, TheShoeHouse.com and TheWoodenBoxShop.com.
For individuals interested in continuing education, Kim prepares and presents workshop and conference presentations on different aspects of online marketing strategies and tactics. These customized seminars and tutorials assist managers, companies and organizations with online orientation and marketing education needs.
